I spent tonight before my photo looking at portraiture that inspired me. Nan Goldin is a photographer that most photographers might say inspired them. I think the body poses and the flash really sort of look like her style. I want to try to mimic (lightly) the style of some of my favorite photographers, especially Diane Arbus, Mary Ellen Mark, and perhaps Cindy Sherman too.

Should be a fun experiment.
