Fleur de lis

I'm posting this in lieu of the self portrait for the project, or anything else because I want to try some new photography types, almost abstracting interiors and focusing on something a little more abstracted. I love the way this one turned out. The fleur de lis came out almost gritty while the painted wall is so smooth. I think trying out some new stuff would be good for me.

We'll see. I try to keep in mind, everything you photograph changes you. It updates the process in your mind and makes you stop to see things in a new way. In that way I think photographers and people who view photography and art are some of the luckiest people in the world. Seeing is a science, a way of life, and a way of learning.
